The well-known Survival expert Joe Vogel designed this card exclusively for Bushcraft Essentials. The card is ideally suited to hunt amphibians, fish, molluscs, crabs, birds, snakes and small mammals, making it the best way to get high-quality food quickly in emergency situations.
The JV Survival Card benefits from Joe Vogel's extraordinary experience with "primitive hunting", which he has collected on his expeditions on all continents. This makes it a tried-and-tested tool for practical application in actual emergency situations. It offers a wide selection of various hooks and different spear concepts for catching fish, birds, snakes etc.
Winding edge - To carry fishing line, Paracord, Dyneema etc.
Chisel - For drilling fastening holes for the safety pins of K and J
Saw - With raker teeth and rounded first tooth for sawing with the fiber
Blade - For field dressing animals, carving
Small Single Spikes - For bending hooks (grind tip on a stone on one side) and as harpoons for amphibians and small fish
Small Double Hooks - For bending hooks, as double pointed hooks for hunting birds and other animals
Large Double Hooks – Like G
Large Single Spikes - for the construction of tridents, eel-spears, etc.
Sling Hook - To build a spear thrower
Suspension Line Loop and Hook Bender - For bending the hooks and for attaching a lanyard / suspension line
Large Hook - For catching heavier animals up to 10 kg
Spear Rest – To support the spear of a spear thrower
Spear Rest Support - Support for the spear rest
Eel-spear (eels, snakes and catfish)
Use the chisel to make a hole in the center of the spear, fit large double hooks, secure with line, saw two opposing grooves, make holes for the pins of the large single spikes, fit large single spikes and tie them down Trident
Make three grooves, distributed equally around the spear, continue as described above Spear Thrower (Atlatl)
Cut a branch of the length of your forearm, use saw to make a long groove (at least as long as the sling hook), insert sling hook (with hook towards long end) - press tight. Tie down sling hook, make two opposing grooves for the spear rest, insert spear rest and press tight, insert spear rest support into opening in the spear rest, tie down spear rest and support, use blade to cut a notch into the small end of the spear (for the hook), put spear onto spear rest with hook in the notch at the small end of the spear, fix the spear with your hand.
Use only in emergencies or with license!
