The first inflatable sailing system for stand-up paddle and windsurf boards. iRIG's technology offers beginners an intuitive and secure entry into windsurfing and veterans fun on the water, even in low winds. In addition to its extremely low weight, it impresses with a practical transport mode and simple size system. For example, it's perfect for stand-up paddlers who want an upgrade.
Even the assembly is effortless and - apart from an air pump - requires no tools. While traditional windsurf rigs have to be composed of a sail, mast and boom, the iRIG combines these three elements in one completely inflatable system. This weighs only about 1.5 kilograms, which is 70 percent less than a regular rig. The effect: Even people without any experience can easily master the sail and experience their first successes on the water. Handles at fixed points guarantee the correct positioning of the hands. If the sail falls into the water, it can be pulled up again almost effortlessly using special holding straps.
And because the iRIG is not only ultra-light, but also doesn't use any hard materials at all, the risk of injury is drastically reduced. Even when you drift away from the wind, you don't have to be afraid. The sailing system floats on the water, so paddling backwards requires little effort.
But it's not just beginners. More and more advanced windsurfers like the iRIG - for relaxed drifting with little wind and practising new manoeuvres. On land, the sail has other strengths. Packed up in A3 format, it can be conveniently transported in a small city car or even by bicycle - and stored at home even without much space.
