The Nomad Orion 180 is an ultra-light down mummy sleeping bag with, among other things, built-in Polygiene, a lined collar, a chin guard, a foot box and a non-stick zip slider that glows in the dark. The high-tech 3D Polardown Plus filling has been treated with Nikwax, which makes the down water repellent. The two-way zip provides more ventilation and the practical loops make it easy to hang up. Inside there is a small storage pocket for valuables. The comfort temperature for ladies is 11°C, for men 7°C.
3D-Polardown consists of both, a down fiber with a hydrophobic treatment and a 3D synthetic hollow fiber. This combination makes the filling super lightweight, perfectly insulating, and is able to handle moisture very well. The filling is soft, flexible and compact due to the down part, but strong and less expensive due to the synthetic part. Furthermore, the strong synthetic fiber keeps the down on its place. So, no worry for cold-spots anymore!
Extreme lightweight, packable and comfortable. 80 % down (90/10 goose down, 800FP) 20 % synthethic hollow fibre.
Polygiene prevents the growth of odor-causing bacteria and fungi at the source, permanently. This result is created by using low concentrations of silver salt, also known as silver chloride, which has antimicrobial properties and is naturally present in water and soil, to safely eliminate the ability for bacteria and fungi to grow.
All down Nomad use is certified by the RDS. The Responsible Down Standard ensures that down and feathers come from ducks and geese that have been treated well. This means enabling them to live healthy lives, express innate behaviours, and not suffer from pain, fear or distress. The standard also follows the chain of custody from farm to product, so consumers can be confident that the down and feathers in the products they choose are truly RDS. Nomad is certified to the RDS by CU 84 77 15.
