You can travel around the world, but until you’ve waited at the corner of Chicago’s Michigan and Grant, you haven’t truly experienced cold. Made for bitter, wet conditions, this warm, insulating jacket blocks wind, snow and freezing rain while holding in your heat no matter where you find yourself. The durable H2No Performance Standard shell combines an 80 % nylon/20 % polyester plain-weave fabric with a waterproof/breathable barrier and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish for exceptional wet-weather protection. Insulated with Traceable Down (600-fill-power goose down traced from parent farm to apparel factory to help ensure the birds that supply it are not force-fed or live-plucked), the Windsweep feels light, stuffs easily and stops cold air from running away with your heat. An interior storm flap folds over the top of the center-front zipper to create a zipper garage; microfleece backing provides skin-friendly comfort. The 2-way-adjustable hood has a drop-collar design for exceptional coverage without impeding visibility. Two handwarmer pockets and one chest pocket feature coated, watertight Slim Zips that reduce bulk and weight. A dual-adjust drawcord hem seals out cold drafts. Hip length.
H2No Performance Standard
2-layer H2No Performance Standard shell fabrics are completely waterproof, windproof and breathable. They combine a water-repellent shell fabric with a waterproof/breathable membrane. They also have an internal Taffeta or mesh lining for increased durability and next-to-skin comfort.
bluesign Approved Fabric
Any fabric that’s bluesign approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in its manufacture that conserves resources and minimizes impacts on people and the environment.
Traceable Down Insulation
Patagonia Traceable Down provides the highest assurance of animal welfare in the apparel industry. Every down cluster, in every one of their down products, comes exclusively from birds that were never force-fed and never live-plucked. How do they know? They hired an independent third-party expert to trace and verify their down supply chain from farm to jacket - and every step in between.
Polyester fabric made of recycled content. Patagonia uses scraps from the cutting room floor and other polyester manufacturing waste, as well as post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic bottles to help close the loop.
DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.
