The VAUDE Green Shape label stands for an environmentally friendly, functional product made from sustainable materials.
VAUDE uses 100% recycled down for the warming filling in this product. The duck and goose down, which comes from bedding and clothing, for example, isn’t disposed of, but collected by textile recyclers and reprocessed in accordance with the Global Recycling Standard. Through the recycling economy we can use valuable natural products longer. In an energy-efficient process, the down is cleaned and sterilised at high temperatures. The excellent insulation properties are retained. Down offers you high breathability and a completely natural warm climate with minimum weight.
VAUDE exclusively uses down fillings of the highest quality. VAUDE procures down from Europe, the country of origin Poland, for its down sleeping bags. The ratios of the individual fillings refer in each case to: the percentage of down to supporting feathers of the total weight of the filling. The quality of the down is expressed by its filling power (cu.in), measured at VAUDE according to the IDFB steam method, The higher the fill power in cu.in, the better the thermal performance of the product. VAUDE has a clear commitment: Only down from slaughtered animals which haven’t been plucked alive or bred for the alleged culinary speciality 'foie gras' is used. All VAUDE down suppliers

The best known form of sleeping bag. The mummy cut is characterised by its conical shape: The sleeping bags become narrower at the feet. Due to their body-hugging cut, they minimise the air that has to be warmed up and are particularly heat-efficient. The cut means that less material is used than with other shapes. This makes the sleeping bags lighter than other cuts with a comparable heat output and compressible smaller.
VAUDE uses renewable raw materials of vegetable or animal origin to manufacture this product. This saves on raw fossil materials.
All VAUDE down sleeping bags are equipped with chamber constructions. They divide the sleeping bag filling into several chambers and prevent a possible migration of the down. The H-chamber construction has the best ratio of heat to weight.
